Chemeketa Press is Chemeketa Community College’s textbook publishing company. Their goal was to sell affordable textbooks written by Chemeketa instructors to students and they wanted textbooks that looked professional yet friendly. My cover design focused on using minimalism to give it an elegant yet striking design while using bright colors and a slab serif typeface to give it a sense of quirkiness.
My layout design was chosen and during the summer of 2015 I worked with Chemeketa Press. I created a layout template of certain book covers and interior layouts to be used by future Chemeketa Press employers.
